Madden releases the same day, while FIFA, NHL, NBA and pCARS all release within the next 3 weeks. Add on the fact that its a major time for releases for sports titles in general. All while in probably the biggest year for racing titles, when we've seen tons from pCARS2 and GT sport in comparison. The lack of information about this year's actual improvements, the next to nothing we've seen from the real cars. The marketing strategy is beyond bizarre for me. Good old times :)į1 98 was even worse then F1 2015 lol, but yeah i think they are doing the opposite Dirt route, they keep things secret and release only little little bits and then near release they will go all guns blazing, but i'd prefer to have seen a bit of the game one month before release and codies going quiet was never a good sign in the past, BUT obv the beta testing has done a lot of good in term sof bugfixing and just testing the game in general, without beta testing i'd be really sceptical, so for those ppl who are not involved in that process it would be good to have a bit more information before release Only to find out those were pre-rendered pictures and the actual game was horrible when I bought it. Reminds me of the hype I had for F1 1998, knowing absolutely nothing about the game except for a couple of pictures I found in some French gaming magazine in a store somewhere. Ofcourse there will be no hype for the game till the release of the information but is that hype really nescessary for an individual? Not that I'm for this idea, I'd love to know more about the game right NOW D This thread got me questioning why we would even need so much information prior to launch? They could just release all information like 1 week prior to launch day and we would all still have enough time to get to know the game before we still buy it. Let's hope that Codemasters finally announces a trailer, with photos of trajectory, online, or at least have importance, to give peace and security. And the "gameplay" of Verstappen I will not consider it as they announced, as it was left over and did not do us any good. You can not do this strategy, not have a trailer, since what we have seen so far are simple "teasers". I do not come to discuss who is to blame, I just come to say and comment, which seems unfortunate, since this game is called F1 2017, and we have been sold as if it were a game of classics, leaving very far the current season. But I think there are people who have noticed, that today 24 July, Codemasters still do not have the agreements with the signed teams. My concern continues to grow and I began to think that they still do not have the agreements signed.ħ days later the announcements of classics ended, which in my opinion lengthened too much to "gain time". In addition, they took a few hours after photos without any importance of Red Bull and Toro Rosso, the rest of equipment nothing. At the end of the video, I was very disappointed, since they were simple cinematic, and nothing of "pure gameplay", that at the end, none of these cinematic we can see in the repetitions. ![]() It seemed like a simple "hotlap", but that would give us a lot of information. From the announcement of classic Williams cars I began to worry, since in F1 2016 there was no problem about the announcement of the 2016 season.Īnd we arrived on July 13, where we finally saw something of the 2017 season. They continue with the routine of classic cars, leaving 2 months for the exit of the game, we have not seen practically anything. Meanwhile, more classic cars are still being announced. I was not worried as it was logical and still the documents and contracts signed with the teams. June 13, 2017, we see the first "pure gameplay" of F1 2017, with the novelty of the game "Championship", and only one car the current season (Haas). There were no problems at that moment, logical and with patience to see the season 2017. They announced some things of course, online and little more. ![]() F1 2017 was announced on May 17 (before F1 2016), but there was nothing about the cars of 2017.
